YOUR INFORMATION
Privacy, plainly.
Landongo stores the account details, journeys, messages and newsletter requests you choose to provide. Saved journeys are private to you and companions who accept your invitations. Members can see the full route, notes, day plan, remixes and group proposals. Community stories, comments and profile pictures are public.
Cookies and local storage
Essential HTTP-only cookies keep you signed in and protect requests. A short-lived cookie is used during single sign-on. Draft journeys are stored in this browser tab. Toolkit forms and results also stay in this tab's session storage, separately for each account, and are cleared on sign-out. Guest life maps stay in this browser's local storage; signed-in life maps are saved privately to your account, with unsaved edits kept in the current tab. Email invitation addresses and legacy phone invitation addresses are stored until the invitation is accepted, withdrawn or expires. Invitation links expire after seven days. This application does not include advertising or analytics trackers.
Connected services
When you send an email invitation, its recipient address and invitation link are sent through our hosting email service. New phone invitations and automatic SMS are not offered. Email invitations include the journey title. Planning jobs keep their results on our server for up to 24 hours so the browser can retrieve a completed result. Deleting your account removes these jobs.
Location search terms are sent to the configured geocoding provider. When you ask for an AI itinerary, the relevant journey preferences are sent to OpenAI. Single sign-on uses the identity provider configured by the operator. External booking and retailer links follow those providers’ policies. Booking searches send destinations, dates and party size to the relevant travel provider. The U.S. guidance selector stays in your browser session and links directly to the Department of State. No nationality, passport number or travel details are sent to a visa provider.
Your choices
Journey owners can remove companions or delete a shared journey. Members can leave at any time. Leaving ends access, withdraws pending proposals and removes votes; saved remixes and accepted contributions remain with the group. Deleting your account also deletes journeys you own. Contributions to other people’s journeys remain under “Former traveler”. Content already downloaded by companions cannot be recalled.
You can edit or delete saved journeys and stories, export your journey data, and delete your account from account settings. For newsletter removal or other information requests, contact us. Operational logs record request IDs, timing and error codes, without passwords or complete itinerary prompts. Private migration archives and offline backups can retain historical records until the operator removes them under its retention policy.
